Admittedly, I personally do not moon sync, since I do the more traditional method of cycle syncing. However, there have been plenty of women who have had success while moon syncing. ✨ What Is Moon Syncing?
Moon syncing is the practice of aligning your lifestyle, self-care, and energy with the phases of the moon — particularly when you’re not able to follow your menstrual cycle directly.
It’s not about becoming one with the moon, but about creating a rhythm.
Whether your period has stopped, become irregular, or you’re currently not cycling at all, moon syncing offers a grounded, accessible way to live in the flow 😌
🌑 The Four Moon Phases (& How They Mirror Your Inner Seasons 👀)
Just like your menstrual cycle has four phases (menstrual, follicular, ovulatory, luteal), the moon cycles through four energetic shifts too — every 29.5 days.

🌑 New Moon → Menstrual Phase
This is the start of the lunar cycle. The sky is dark, quiet, and inward.
You might feel more reflective, tired, or craving rest — a beautiful time to slow down, journal, and set intentions.
🌓 First Quarter Moon → Follicular Phase
The energy is building. This is your creative window.
You may feel more playful, hopeful, or ready to take on a new challenge.
🌕 Full Moon → Ovulatory Phase
The moon is at its brightest — and so are you.
This phase represents outward energy, connection, and confidence.
🌗 Last Quarter Moon → Luteal Phase
The energy begins to wane. You may notice a pull inward again, or feel sensitive or intuitive.

🌙 How To Moon Sync (Starting Points)
Here are some starting points for each of the phases. Keep in mind, you may find yourself not resonating with these suggestions – and that’s wonderful. It’s wonderful because it means you’re listening to your body and finding your own rhythm- AKA the entire point of cycle/ moon syncing. So start here, and adjust and adapt as you discover your own flow.
🌑 New Moon → Menstrual Phase
- Restorative movement (like stretching or walking)
- Cozy meals and warm drinks
- Vision-setting, journaling, and intention writing
🌓 First Quarter Moon → Follicular Phase
- Light workouts or learning something new
- Fresh foods and vibrant meals
- Start new habits or plan your week ahead
🌕 Full Moon → Ovulatory Phase
Sync Suggestions:
- Socializing, networking, or launching something
- Energizing workouts or dance
- Bright, fresh meals that leave you feeling light
🌗 Last Quarter Moon → Luteal Phase
Sync Suggestions:
- Gentle self-care and setting boundaries
- Decluttering, finishing tasks, or creative expression
- Grounding meals (think sweet potatoes, chocolate, root veggies)
